After his transition off the National Football League (NFL) playing field in 2006, Brewer pursued a successful career on Wall Street as an Investment Advisor with Merrill Lynch’s Private Client Group where he raised over $20mm in assets under management (AUM) in his first year as a registered investment advisor, ranking in the top one percentile in his class across the firm. Following that role, Brewer went on to serve as the Managing Director at Paramount Bio Capital, one of the United States’ largest private biotech-focused investment banks, from 2009-2011 where he helped close two NASDAQ public offerings in his first year as an investment banker. During that time, he also helped launch Opus Point Partners, a healthcare-focused hedge fund, where he raised the seed capital at the fund's inception, consistently producing double digit returns throughout the fund’s history.
In 2011, Brewer turned his business focus solely to his company The Brewer Group, Inc. (TBG) (www.thebrewergroup.com), a boutique investment and consulting firm, and active member of the United Nations Global Compact, specializing in investing and advisory for small growth companies making a positive impact around the world. Brewer continues to work tirelessly to build and leverage his vast network of established relationships with key international decision makers and influencers spanning government development agencies, financial institutions, multinational corporations, NGOs and numerous leaders in sports and entertainment.
